This Privacy Policy explains how Songski (“Songski”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our website, mobile application, and related services (the “Platform”).

1. Overview
Songski is a live music interaction platform that enables audiences to request songs from performers in real time.
We collect limited personal information to:
Operate the Platform
Process transactions
Facilitate song requests
Improve user experience
Ensure safety and prevent fraud
We do not sell personal information in a traditional sense (see “Data Sharing” below for permitted disclosures).
2. Information We Collect

Artist names, genres, playlists and social links
Email addresses
Venue names and locations
Times/Dates of live performances
2.1 Account Information
Name or username
Email address
Password (encrypted)
Profile information
2.2 Audience Activity Data
Song requests
Tips and boosted requests
Engagement with performers
Session and usage behaviour
2.3 Performer Data
Setlists and song libraries
Uploaded cover photos, profile images, setlist images, and other images you choose to provide
Venue associations
Request acceptance/rejection activity
Performance interaction data
OCR results extracted from uploaded setlist images, where you use image upload features

Payments are processed by third-party providers (including Stripe).
We do NOT store:
Full credit card numbers
CVV/security codes
We may receive:
Payment status
Transaction IDs
Billing metadata
Songski may receive and store payment metadata from Stripe, such as payment status, transaction identifiers, gross/net amount summaries, fees, refunds, chargebacks, payout-related references, and timestamps.
Songski does not store full credit card numbers, CVC codes, or full bank account details.

2.6 Location Data (if enabled)
We may collect approximate or precise location data, including venue location, latitude/longitude, and check-in related location information, where enabled or required for app functionality.

Support venue check-in and checkout
Improve local request accuracy
Display active performers in relevant locations
Generate venue-related sharing content
Improve local request accuracy
You can disable location access in your device settings, but some venue check-in features may not work correctly.

Improve performance and user experience
You may disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not function properly.

Operate and maintain the Platform

These providers only access information necessary to perform services on our behalf.
5.3 Aggregated or De-Identified Data

Usage trends
Popular songs
Engagement statistics
Venue-level insights
This data does not identify individual users.

Protect rights, safety, or security of users or the Platform
We use uploaded images and OCR results to support app functionality, including profile display, cover photos, setlist import, song detection, playlist creation, and sharing features.
6. Third-Party Services
Songski integrates with third-party services to enhance functionality.
6.1 Spotify
Songski uses Spotify solely as a music metadata provider, including:
Song titles
Artist names
Album names
Album artwork (where available)
Songski does NOT:
Stream Spotify audio
Store Spotify audio content
Cache or download songs
Provide playback of Spotify content
When a song is selected in Songski:
No Spotify audio is played
The request is sent to a live performer
The performer independently performs the song live
Spotify content is governed by Spotify’s own terms:

Songski is not affiliated with Spotify.
6.2 MusicBrainz
Songski may use MusicBrainz to identify and display music metadata.
MusicBrainz data is provided under its own licensing terms:

6.3 Stripe
Payments are processed via Stripe.
Stripe handles:
Card processing
Fraud prevention
Chargebacks
Payment security
We may share or process information with service providers that help operate Songski, including:
Firebase/Google Cloud for authentication, database, storage, cloud functions, analytics, diagnostics, and hosting
Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple for account authentication
Stripe for payments, connected accounts, fraud prevention, refunds, chargebacks, and payouts
Mapbox for venue search, location, and mapping features
Spotify and MusicBrainz for music metadata
7. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to:
Provide the Platform
Comply with legal obligations
Resolve disputes
Prevent fraud and abuse
Users may delete their account in the app by going to Settings > Account > Delete Account.
When an account is deleted, we delete or de-identify account records and associated performer profile records where reasonably possible. Some information may be retained where required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, backup, or compliance purposes.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from:

However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
